Coventry University has joined Kinetic’s growing Student Life community, adopting our solution for managing student wellbeing for its ResLife and Accommodation teams. They intend to expand and grow their ResLife programme across other areas of their business, such as students living within their lettings portfolio. Coventry University’s ultimate ambition is being able to offer the programme to all students living in the private sector in Coventry. Student Life plays an important part in rolling out this programme in a consistent and controlled manner, surfacing all interactions so that the team can monitor activity.
Coventry University’s ResLife team is going from strength to strength...
...and has recently grown in size from 3 to 13 staff. During September, October and November over 10,000 meals were delivered to students who were self-isolating – highlighting the hard work and dedication of the team. Within the same period, 3000 welfare calls to students were made, demonstrating the commitment in supporting students during this difficult period. It came as no surprise that Coventry University was shortlisted for the CUBO ResLife award 2020 which is a fantastic achievement for a relatively new team.
The University is using Student Life to support their ResLife and Accommodation teams, giving them a central place to record and pick up on any early warning signs regarding students’ wellbeing. The team can see incidents or interactions in a triage screen as well as by viewing each student’s history, making it easy to make an early intervention. Recognising the sensitivity of this information, Coventry University is able to secure and make available all data on a need-to-know basis, a major advantage over current methods.
